Nothing to activate.

If you have a LTE modem/router, just insert your Telkom Mobile sim card and start surfing.

If your LTE modem/router only shows HSPA+, then there's obviously no LTE coverage where you live.

If that is the case then I've never been in a LTE area . I have never seen anything higher than HSPA+ with my Telkom sim card inserted into my Xperia tablet . I have a afrihost sim that I needed to have LTE activated on that picks up LTE.

Telkom use the 2300Mhz range so your phone/tablet would need to support that.
Afaik the Xperia tablet doesnt support 2300Mhz, but it supports the frequencies that Afrihost/MTN use.

Correct.

You need to purchase the LTE router/modem from Telkom Mobile to get LTE.

Remember a few of us get 70Mbps+. I've also seen with my own eyes someone running at 90Mbps.

Um...yes. :p

ADSL fastest speed = 10Mbps.
LTE fastest speed = 66Mpbs.

Not only that but ADSL has poor upload speeds. LTE is revolutionary with uploads. It changes your whole internet experience.

And that's what will keep it as a light speed, premium service. It shouldn't be for downloading the internet.

No need for LTE provision!

As others have mentioned you do need a certain type of hardware in order to receive LTE! USB dongle or a router that works on Telkom Mobile LTE Frequency. It is scare coming across such devices eg: tablets, smartphones, routers & usb dongle..

If your internet speed is acceptable on 3G/HSPDA then no need for LTE but if you've to extra cash lying around you could always buy a router, MiFi or USB dongle!

I wants Uncapped LTE? Only Neotel that offers that (sofar as I know). Please send me a PM if you know of any other providers.

I'm also on the lookout for Super high data bundles (that is 200gig or 300gig cap anytime usage)
