I have the HTC one and am on a topup 400 contract with vodacom. How do I check if my phone is LTE compatible and activate the service.

So far I have changed my APN to lte.vodacom.co.za and the speeds have improved, around 7.8/3 mbps down/up respectively now. Do I need to buy the "Broadband advanced" data bundles?

Also is there a map with LTE coverage in cape town?

Your phone will display "4G" or "LTE" when it is on Vodacom lte network. Once you put your sim in a LTE device they system will pick this up and activate LTE within 24 hours (excludes weekends). If you are not sure if LTE is active on your line you can check it on vodacom.co.za portal after logging in or calling customer care.

Thanks ockie! I can't seem to find the manual registration on the my Vodacom portal ow where it states where lte is active or not. Are you sure I don't have to buy the broadband advanced bundles? I currently have an active broadband standard bundle.

Broadband advanced has got nothing to do with LTE. PM me your number and I will have a look for you.
