I've been a subscriber for over a decade now, and I consume most of their content but especially WAN show, that said, I haven't noticed any change or issues

He has been very good at dealing with criticism and the PR which hunts like the one from Gamers Nexus

When they actually really had issues with their content or their products, they took care of them perfectly, backpack carabiner replacements sent to every customer for free, that time live on WAN when he noticed the manufacturer of a backpack failed to sow in a double layer as the design required, he had the issue diagnosed, investigated and solved for production before the end of the show

A few instances of incorrect product pricing during sales events were also dealt with efficiently, oftern Live on the show, if items were listed too cheaply, great,they got to keep them and LTT would accept thee orders,

Most of the criticisms on "hater" videos seem to be:

1) Has employees work on his expensive house
2) Won't give employees salary increases they want
3) Has taken ownership of a private jet
4) Drama with that one girl who threw around allegations that were investigated

For me, Linus and Yvonne took huge risks to build LTT. They have every right to reap the rewards. Yes, Linus is rich, and he monetized aspects of upgrading his lifestyle to produce content. That's his choice. Don't like it don't watch.

He does seem to treat his employees fairly and within Canada's legal framework. If employees want the payday, they must take the risk, as several of them have. Whether that will pay off for them in the long term has yet to be seen.

The jet video was cringe. Even I will admit he seemed oblivious to what it looks like to the average person. But he has said it's something that is temporary and he'll eventually flip it, so...

From what I understand, the drama with that girl who they had on for a few videos ultimately came down to a he said/she said scenario, which is too little to say who was wrong and who was right.

You know I started that Jet Video about 3 times on seperate occations because as soon as it began I fell victim to this looking at it as cringe point of view

Later on I Googled the Jet, became interested in it from a technical aspect, then went back to the video, AAAAAAND Guess what it was about? The Technical Aspects, it was a great video from that perspective

As a Techie, Linus has done absolutely fsckn outstanding for himself in my opinion, and I'm glad I can look to him and his content as an aspirational source and genuine entertainment.

There should be something said about what kind of a person sees success in a bad light, its much more than just good old jelousy makes you nasty, I think there is a fundemental aspect missing or broken in these people, like the little kids who hurt animals and steal the possentions and food of their peers, somethings nie lekker daar binne nie

Anyway, I don't even see the controversy opinion of LTT appart from if its here or he mentions it, I'm glad about this.

On a sidenote, maybe this is me being really quite old, but every now and again I'll go back and watch an episode of The Tek, with Logan & Wendall

That was the Original Tech channel back in the day, It ended because Logan got greedy and spent the money he begged for every episode on some food and things, now I don't believe that is the whole story because Wendell never worked with Logan again and removed him from the company

But alas I'll never know, I still watch every single Links with Friends episode every day, Wendell is one of those all knowing guys I'll forever look up to.
 
Mr Mobile / Sh*tshark is the only oke I still watch. Great reviews and series like trying to use a foldable as a laptop etc.
