Think I might just have found my upgrade phone for next year...

http://www.wpcentral.com/revealed-nokia-lumia-929-verizon-5-inch-1080p-phablet

Some specs from the article:
Qualcomm Quad-core Snapdragon 800 at 2.2 GHz
5 inch AMOLED display, 1080 x 1920
2 GB of RAM; 32 GB of internal storage (no micro SD)
20 MP PureView rear camera with oversampling (16 MP + 5 MP photos); Front facing camera
Dual LED flash
NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE
Qi wireless charging
FM Radio
At least three HAAC microphones
Data Sense, NFL Mobile, Verizon Tones, VZ Navigator, My Verizon Mobile, Nokia StoryTeller, Nokia Screen Beamer
Available colors: glossy white or matte black

Size (hand measured)
Height: 136.5 mm
Width: 71.4 mm
Thickness: 10.5 mm
Weight: 166 g

Here's hoping it's not just strictly for Verizon and that we can get it here aswell.

Only thing I'm a bit uncertain about is the 5" screen... just a tad bit big for my liking, but need to still see a 5" phone in my hand to verify.

I like it, finally a decent high range lumia from nokia.
do you know what the release date is?
im hoping 8ta/telkommobile offers it.
some specs here: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_lumia_929-5833.php

I think you could get used to the 5".
i had a n8, then went to a nexus 4 which is considerably larger at 4.7", when i had to use the nokia n8 again, it was unbearable, felt too small. but yeah, give it a try, you might like it.

This looks like a good spec for me. Looking at http://www.wpcentral.com/nokia-lumia-929 though it says "a custom Windows Phone designed for Verizon Wireless in the United States". Does this mean it will not be available to the rest of the world?

Yeah that also worries me... I do hope they share with the world. I also hope the darn phone gets released already so I can have it as a option when I upgrade in May :P
This phone has been leaked like a bucket without a bottom end... and still no official reveal yet >.<

Would love the phone, and having that 20MB shooter with oversampling and zoom tech...
If they released World version (non-USA) would be fantastic...

Lumia 920
Dimensions 130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm, 99 cc
Weight 185 g

Lumia 929
Height: 136.5 mm
Width: 71.4 mm
Thickness: 10.5 mm
Weight: 166 g

So 929 is lighter than 920, and longer by 6mm, wider by 1mm.
I think it has a smaller bezel so better use of the overall space.
5" 929 versus 4.5" 920

:) :) :)

The rest of the world will most likely get the same specs in a different model, eagerly awaiting MWC to see what Nokia has up their sleeves.

The 928 is also exclusive to Verizon

It will be released all over the world later on in the year, and typically SA will be the last to get it! All that Verizon has is the name "Icon' it will be released to the rest as Lumia 929

I just bricked my Lumia 820 today when it fell face first onto some tiles. Was hoping it would last at least till the 929 was released in SA :(

And as per usual, nobody at the cell providers in SA even know what I'm talking about when I ask them when it's expected

Lol yep... people are clueless if it's not a S5 lol
Anyways we are definitely not getting it... however... we will get the 930.
But it's not a 5" its a 4.5"

This should be unveiled at Build on 2 April.
