If you are in this area and have no power, the cause is a burst water pipe in Jean Avenue near the Spar.

Apparently was off from 3am this morning. Luckily I didn't watch the fight at home. Wonder who woke up to watch the fight only for there to be no electricity.

Why does it take so long for the municipality to turn off the water supply?

Because they do not care. They will not be fired tomorrow for not doing their jobs....Sunday bah. Let the water run. We will see what we can do Monday.....

Started with a water problem and than escalated into a floating electric hazard. Africa

Ok, but why is there a water line underneath a DP? Surely they could have planned better, by separating the two slightly? Or am I wrong?

Quite impressed that they fixed it 10 hours after this though. Never thought our current local government could manage that.

Elections coming up? There is a lot at stake in some of the metro-pols.
