M-Audio

That card uses the VIA Envy chipset which is not better than creative's chipsets but it's debatable, it's still a good card.

I heard many opinions that these cards are superior to Creative cards,
mainly from US people. Even recently virtually every Slashdot poster was
glorifying M-Audio vs Creative.

“In many ways, the [M-Audio] Revolution 7.1 is superior to Creative’s Audigy 2, even though the M-Audio card costs less.”

“The [M-Audio] Revolution 7.1 sound card bests everything we’ve heard…”

It's better than the audigy no doubt, but X-fi is creative's latest chip and for gaming the X-fi beats the Envy, sound quality is debatable.

I prefer the ASUS Xonar and getting myself one soon.
