M-Net interferece query...

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this "interference" on MNet?

It is not a DSTV installation but merely MNet. All other channels (SABC Etv etc) are perfect but Mnet and CSN have these two white lines running up the screen with associated "buzz". I went through a routine of making sure it was nothing I had that was interfering and I had not installed anything new when the problem started.

Any ideas?

Maybe a faulty decoder?? If you have a (DCC) Decoder Care Contract, you have have it swapped out...

Or if you don't have the (Dcc) contract, just busy a second hand decond via Bidorbuy, you can get it for around R50 to R100...

Phone 031 710 2222. When I called the other day there was some drivel on their voice attendant about viewers experiencing interference in the Dbn area. Then press x to details on rectifying. Don't know much more as my call was not related to your problem.

I'll give that number a call. I saw on the DSTV forum there was mention a while back about interference in CT as a result of switching signals over to digital. Thanks man.

I did consider going into Cash Crusaders and getting one but might try the above option first.
