The other day I made a raita with 3 parts double cream yoghurt 1 part Maas, cucumber, really hot green chillies, dhanya added some salt and about a 3/4 teaspoon of MSG (Zeal) wasn't too shabby.

Which reminds me Ranch Dressing is made from a combination of Mayo and Buttermilk.

Are there any brave souls out there willing to try making it with maas instead of buttermilk?

Use keffir or Maas on food or for sour milk. Buttermilk works fine but if you want that added zing use Maas.

I normally have yoghurt with my muesli but I was out but I had some maas in the fridge so I thought I'd give it a try.

buttermilk is far superior to maas in every conceivable way apart from the price, no contest

hot tip for anyone with a Eastern European / Russian significant other though: when they run around in Checkers looking for keffir leave them the hell alone, better yet, walk away and hide in a totally different shopping aisle
