Mac Mini i5 2.3 Launch

Does any one know when the 2.3 Mac Mini will be available in SA?
It is the one that comes without the optical drive.
Suppliers are not saying anything. I think it is because they want us to buy the old model 1st. Plenty of stock to get rid of and all that

Same old Core bull$hit... I've been drooling over the i7 server, but while the price for this generation has dropped, the effective exchange rate of >9 is tough to swallow.

When it comes to apple, its a speculation game. Nothing get's announced ahead of time.
To them it is a VERY effective marketing machine, since it causes quite a buzz on the net.
to us it is rather irritating. to not know the truth. Only internet rumours, and speculation.

Any ways, will wait till end of august then bug the crap out of them again with phone calls etc...

Just received the i5 2.5ghz yesterday. i imported from the states. willing to sell as i dont think i will be needing it. radeon graphics is much faster than the intel hd 3000 btw

I am also looking at the mini. Just phoned iStore Eastgate and according to them they have stock. The 2.3, 2.5 and server
I also see that in the last week there was some price drops across the board. The base iMac is now 11999 instead of 12499 , Wireless KB 699 instead of 799 etc etc

PS Menlyn also have stock, so I assume all iStores will have them now.
