Mac software to join .AVI files

As the title reads I am looking for software that will allow me to join two .avi files into one file. Please if you know of any software that can do this let me know. I have already tried using the Quicktime way but looking for a better piece of software to do the job.

Check System Preferences, if you have installed Perian you'll see it there.
