Have you looked through the ones at http://osx.iusethis.com/ ?

I stopped looking after I tried, and subsequently bought, Unison.

Off to Amazon.com to buy a photoshop upgrade - now I wish there was a cheaper alternative for that! :o

It looks as if Unison does not combine multipart files? or am i getting it wrong somewhere. Trying to combine multiple zip files.

Not sure I understand? I use it the same way I use grabit - I import the nzb, download all the files, open the .par file in MacPar which in turn verifies the files and reconstructs it if all is good.

OK, my bad. The one file was incomplete.

In Agent (winXP), one just lists all the files and click on combine to create one zip.

I think I should read up a bit on this some more - could not find any utility to combine multipart zip files for mac - does Unarchiver do it? Stuffit just tells me the files are not recognisable.

When downloaded the files are in the format xxx.zip.001, xxx.zip.002, xxx.zip.003 etc.

Got one of those yesterday too - it was a zip file inside a rar file. First I would use rar expander (though unarchiver might do it too) then something to open the resulting zip file.

Ah, that would explain why win rar did not work either since the one file was incomplete it would not unrar it.

What about .bin files?? how do you unencode them?

Stuffit expander or unarchiver.

If it is a .bin cd image I use disk utility.
