Just checking to see if there are any other Mac user out there hooked up to iBurst , who want to share some tips and tweaks..

gaza, am using iBurst on a mac (powerbook), UTD connected via airport. basically has been a frustrating experience.... no problems in connecting - as always the mac os works like a charm. however, iburst is another issue altogether - the service is nowhere near the claimed speed, packet loss is horrendous and no amount of tweaking MTU and rwin's etc. has any impact at all...

If you are running Mac 10.3.x, you will also have an ethernet tab to configure. The macs default is 'automatic'. Change that to 'manually'. You can then change your MTU from the default '1500' to 1392, or what ever value WBS comes up with next. If you are using the usb port, your configuration will show up under 'Ethernet Adaptor (en2)', hence the 'ethernet' tab to configure, even though you are using usb.

Hi there,

Running both a Powerbook (wireless) and an eMac (wired) through a Gigabit router connected to the UTD via the WAN port. Problems that have been experienced are consistent with those of Windows users. The only thing I have not been able to do is update the firware using the Mac.

Basically am very happy with it.

Regards,

Michael
