MacBook and LogMeIn

I have a situation, my MacBooks screen is dead, tried everything to get it to work, with no luck.
Can anyone guide me through getting LogMeIn up and running without a screen... I have it installed but it is not active, hoping I can remote access my macbook through my ipad and still use it while I buy a new laptop...
