I noticed on the Apple.com site that all mention of the MacBook (not the MacBook Pro) is gone. Is this their subtle way of saying that it's not being manufactured anymore? Strange that this happened just after those great MacBook student deals...

Yip. It's still available for educational purposes but it's basically been killed. (They're just getting rid of old stock)

Not for me.I do think they toned down the CPU in the airs so that they didn't compete with the ones in the 13" MBP... I think apple could have stretched the air further.... Optical drive is dead![]()
