Macbook Pro Case

i got something similar. def. worth it. whenever i take it out i place it on top of this, protects my lap from heat... and scratches from desk.

I find that I need space for odds and ends. EG. Power supply, USB external drive, USB Novatel MC950D Modem, Pen, 16GB memory stick, 2 blank CD and DVD discs and some notepaper. (Of course I was a Boy Scout) Ps. for to mention my Mac Giver knife.
So I need a reinforced. suitcase

Just be careful with the MacBook Pro - ideally it should sit on a very flat hard surface, because the air intake for the cooling fan is towards the bottom on the back. Last year I was wondering why the fan would run faster when I had the MBP on my duvet on the bed, and it was because I was blocking the cooling intake. When it is on a desk, i can barely hear the fan. I have now also put those stick-on round felt pads under each corner to raise the MBP slightly, so that there is plenty of room for the intake - my last MBP used to get scratches underneath, because the clearance was very small, and if a grain of sand was between the desk and the MBP, and I tried to move it, it would make a scratch. Now, with the felt pads underneath, the clearance is great enough that I have never picked up a scratch

Basil, I bought something very similar from Fry's Electronics in Chicago, mine is a grey colour, and has like a soft suede finish. An attractive female sales lady at the Apple store in Oakbrook, Chicago kept on stroking my MBP which was in the cover, saying what a nice case it was, and asked me where I got it. She was looking for one, for a MBP that she was saving up for. I would have pursued it further with a dinner date, but I had to fly back to SA that night :-(
