Have a look on Takealot (benefit of having it delivered) or you could visit the Apple store in Menlyn Mall.

I’m not sure if it uses the L shape charger or older square one
 
Thanks, the ones on Tlot are not genuine and some give trouble it seems ?
 
I've never had good experiences with non Apple MacBook chargers.

Best bet - buy a new one, or a refurbished, or see of you can find one 2nd hand.

Ive had my MacAir plugged in permanently for 8 years now, mid 2013 model :oops:
 
Mine too. Charger and laptop battery are perfect.
I just need a spare to work in warm winter room and main one is under a desk stuck on with 2 way tape.

Just ran a system report now and the battery status says this.

I had a 2015 Macbook Pro that was going strong, until the cat dropped a @$*% 12v battery from a shelf above the machine on top of the machine.

Outsurance paid out and bought an Air with USB-C charger.

Unfortunately already gave the old charger away to a colleague at work. This was the replacement "refurbished" charger I bought on Amazon a couple of years ago since the original stopped working.
