SO, I got the 13" haswell model from incredible connection (256gb sad etc). After using it since friday, I am very angry and disappointed in myself.

I should have made the move to mac years ago. Love the interface gestures etc. Not completely used to it yet, but I'm sure this is the start of an awesome journey.

That price seems low for a haswell retina with 256Gb. Where did u buy it at the price it's a bargain.

I've been looking for the ME865 (8/256Gb) version for more than a week. No stock anywhere in Cape Town area or online.

i know he bought it at Incredible Connection I was asking which IC Store as no Incredible Connection sells that spec machine at that price and knowing which one I can get myself a nice bargain.

Fully agree, I love my 13" rMBP. And I always said to myself that I'd only ever use iPhone and iPad and never get a Mac computer.

As you can see the 4gb -128gb and 8gb-256gb are the same price.

Just need valid student id ect

It says 4GB RAM 256GB flash is the same price as the 128GB flash 8GB RAM.

Must be a misprint but if IC is honoring it then bargain

Now you can go to https://deals.macupdate.com/ and get the Paragon 2-in-1 deal. NTFS for OSX and HFS for Windows. $40. There's other stuff too, which is probably not usable but the ability to write to NFTS drives on OSX reliably is worthwhile.

I want to get the new 15" MBP to replace my current Sandy Bridge i7 MBP, but I don't have R30K lying around to waste.

Having said that, my current MBP with 16GB of RAM and a 2.4GHz i7 is still more than fast enough...

The price is R4k cheaper than the iStore's themselves. Even second hand 2012 models are sold for so much more.

Pity I missed the retina deal, 2 days earlier I purchased a still in package 2012 MacBook pro 13 for R11000 so it was still an awesome deal, reckon I would of gone for MacBook air 13 on special rather though.

I'm still swearing today. It was a legitimate offer in their brochure. The stores were honoring that price problem was they just sold out very quickly.
