MacBook Vodacom deal

Interesting.

R588 x 24 = R14 112.

So your basically buying the macbook for R9999.00, the data card for R2000, and the data for R2000 and not paying interest on anything. It's a pity it's only the macbook with the combo drive, and not the 2.2Ghz one. The problem with these specials, is they always give you the "cheapest" laptop. Great idea tho for someone who can't really afford the capital outlay, it's low interest financing in essence.

What is good about this though, is that it seems vodacom is speaking to Zastore and iStore (ie APPLE) about 3G things - which means there is hope for us to get the 3G iPhone on contracts similar to this!

I think it is 36 months.

Yes, it is 36 months ... and they are charging R289pm for 500Mb of data ... I am sure I am paying R189 on my Contract bundle?

zastore and iStore ≠ Apple. ;)

36 months. Eish. Then it's farking pricey.

@Landyman -> Add on bundles are R189.00 per month. The stand-alone contract is R249 per month, but then you get the free E220 with it! The R339 per month basically finances the macbook, so the basic macbook ends up costing you R12204 - ie you are just financing it at some determined interest rate

Yeah, I understand that ... just didn't know that the bundle prices are less than full contract prices on data

The e-mail comes from Apple IMC so your statement is almost true :D
My understanding is IMC stands for Independent marketing company so Apple IMC also ≠ Apple. :)

Yes, that ≠ does hold for SA, but Apple IMC is the closest well have to Apple SA ... plus they use apple.co.za domain, so that counts for something :p

36 months! By that time the freakin' cables will be done and 500mb is going to look sad as hell.

They had a nice deal on the dell d620 a while ago, still pricey but a nice machine.

I signed up for this contract because I was on the road all the time. Now I'm in an office all day with ADSL. Anyone want to take it over from me? You win five + months of payments plus the RAM I upgraded to 2GB.

quite a while back but the newsletter html page is still online with no expiry :)

Its still available at most Vodashops and iStores. You can know select any mac with one of the deals or up the bandwidth with the deals..much better deals than when they first launched..
