MacOS shortcut to run app with Rosetta

I'm a MacOS n00b and not finding an obvious way to create a shortcut for Photoshop on my Mac Mini M1 desktop to run with Rosetta in Monterey.
Essentially, I'll use the normal shortcut which would run Photoshop (Apple Silicon version), but there are certain add-ons and extensions that only work with Photoshop when it is in Rosetta mode, however this mode affects performance somewhat. I'd want two shortcuts for Photoshop and not need to go into the file properties to toggle it to run with Rosetta on and off each time?

Ok, well I found one way to do it :

I can duplicate the Photoshop Application in Finder and then set the flag for that to run in Rosetta Mode while the original will have it unticked to run in M1 mode.
This method seems a bit wasteful as it uses another 4.49Gb for this copy of the Photoshop application, but I don't see a way to create a shortcut specifically to do anything similar.

Then you could simply just do that.

Presumably this doesn’t work with Get Info when simply making an Alias?

This may or may not work, not at a Mac to test now.

Basically setup your Terminal to operate with Rosetta by default.

Now you should be able to do…

open /Applications/Adobe Photoshop.app

See if it does what you want.

Correct, can't set that particular flag on "get info" of an alias, at least not as far as I can tell.

Command line would be an option but that's more cumbersome than just toggling the flag in Finder. I suppose I should just figure out how to make the equivalent of a batch file to execute the Photoshop application from a Terminal running in Rosetta mode. Or maybe just leave the duplicated Photoshop... for now.

Yeah tried having a look now but don't see any simple method to change that Get Info flag via command line.

So the closest thing I can find is that this file keeps track of what has it toggled or not.

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices/com.apple.LaunchServices.plist

So you would need to modify that on the fly to make it open with one or the other.

It will be very very messy and likely break other things so honestly not worth it.
