Macros

i dont think u can throw them quicker...u use 1 key to just repeat itself..i think the game knows how long it takes before another one is thrown.it would just be that you dont have to click the button so many times to throw them..why would u want to do that anyways?
 
The answer would be yes.

Any program that gives you any type of advantage is not legal.
 
Macro's are not illegal but considered by many to be a form of cheating, some people cannot play fair, macro's are just another way to gain an advantage.

Not sure why people cannot just play a game the way it was made.
 
5 Cheating

5.1 Cheating in ANY form will result in an instant ban from the SGS servers there is no warning and there ares no second chance's.

5.2 We reserve the right to scan you for cheats. Whenever cheaters are caught via an automated system, or by solid telltales shown to an observing admin or reported to our Ban Master the cheater(s) will be removed.

5.4 Disabling/exploiting/bypassing game attributes such as a smoke-removal hack, using the cloak-pack or shield pack bugs to "stack" attributes

5.5 Ghosting (a dead player using the camera to assist a live player via voice over IP, telephone, across a room, etc)

5.6 Other such influential advantages that give the player an unfair advantage, therefore effectively handicapping the other players on the server.

5.7 Players who are unsure if their activities constitute an unfair advantage, should consult the Gamesmaster.

5.8 You will not exploit any bug in the game’s products or to gain unfair advantage in the game.

5.9 Stats boosting in games is regarded as cheating and players caught boosting their stats will be banned.

Did not see anything about macro's though, well not that i can see.

Does to mention macro's anywhere, to lazy to look :p
 
It doesnt mention macro's any where on the ROE.

But it frequently metions things about having an advantage over other players.

But if you really want to put your mind at ease greggpb then just send a email to one of the BF2 admins or the gamesmaster.

They will be able to clarify this better.
(Just remember to phrase your email right)
 
I am almost 100% sure sgs cannot ban people who use macro's as it's not considered cheating. Macro's are not suppose to be used for bf 2 games more for those wow games and what not i think.

Even though my keyboard has 18 marco keys and mouse i think has macro's i still do not even have a clue how they work in all honesty, i just 1 button can more than one thing or something along those lines.

Maybe someone could explain how they work in more detail.

What I mean by quick is not quick that is currently happens..

what I would like to do is..

medic example
I press macro key on my mouse..

the mouse then send to BF2
5 (switch to medipack)
right-click (drop medi pack)
3 ( switch to prim weapon)

which is something i would have to look down at the keyboard for..

Ps what is with the guys that roll on the floor while prone ?
 
Greg like i said you can do that but your for me it's lame.

Play the game as it was made, i mean if you do that you may as well macro your guns to your advantage. So many people use macro's and i find it lame but then again maybe it's not lame and we should all use macro's i dunno.
 
Rather dont mess around with buttons on your mouse. I find the more I try do with my mouse the more distracted I get.

The best thing is to position your keys around your hand. Ie near wasd. So that your left hand is really doing the hard work and the right is just shooting people.

You will probably find though after playing a few hours of BF you wont even think about looking down at the key board. You will just know where the keys are.
 
cool.... another question... what key do you guys used from prone... because with my paws on wasd the is no way i can press the Z key
 
i use i button on my mouse to go prone...i use the middle mouse to chnge weapons, and i also got a button on ther to use voip...just use a button to swop through the weapons..will get to know how many times to press it to get where u want in no time
 
You use your middle button to change weapons? that must kinda slow hey. Why not use your number keys for changing weapons.

I am very lucky because i am left handed and use my mouse in my left hand so the stock controls work perfect for me.

Things feel awkward at first but soon your just pressing the correct button and not looking.

I use my mouse middle button for reviving is about he only change i made, use the number keys on the top of the letters for weapon changes.
 
I changed my prone to "ctrl" and then crouch to "C" but really just go with what feels good.
