Madeleine's parents are suspects

This might just be media speculation. Look what happened in the Bob Woolmer saga.

How are they going to find new evidence after so much time has passed? They originally treated this as a kidnapping, so they weren't looking for evidence of a murder being covered up. Same as in Woolmer's case, they thought it was a heartattack to begin with and then a (suspectedd) murder ... Both cases, if there was key evidence overlooked in the beginning because they thought it was something else, how do they expect to find it now?

Chatting about this with mates the other night a very good point was raised: given that there is such huge media coverge of this allegged kidnapping and the fact that the child in question has a very peculiar appearance which would be spotted anywhere the likelihood of whoever alleggedly snatched her keeping her (or attemptimg any sort of human trafficking) is minimal. It seems reasonable by this logic to assume that since she has not been returned to her parents (or simply set loose in a public area) she has been murdered. Which means that the media publicity surrounding her peculiar birthmark basically signed her death warrant. Its an awful thought but when you brush emotions aside it does seem fairly obvious.
...unless of course it is the parents ...or shes not stuck in the well but hiding in the barn next door.

I was always felt uncomfortable about those two. Something seemed off like they were milking the attention or something. Still I find it hard to believe they were involded.

Portuguese press reports have said blood traces of a dead person were discovered in the apartment, and that someone had tried to clean them up.
Cr@p journalism. How can you tell if blood traces are from a dead person or a live person. Sensationalist crud.

Don't know how, but on C&I Network they had a case a week ago where a guy murdered his ex and his stepkids, the American cops later found bloodstains with the help of some Luminol and assumed the victims were dead even though no bodies were found. The guy was charged with murder.

Let's hope this kid was kidnapped for some rich childless family looking for a daughter.

On second thought, it may be possible to estimate the amount of blood loss and it is possible to tell if the blood is human or not, assuming the victim
is a young child, it is then possible to determine whether the amount of blood lost was significant enough to cause death or not. A large stain from
a small child would signifiy death if the child did not receive treatment immediately. I'm no expert in forensics though so I can't say whether a stain size,
can be matched to volume of blood loss reliably enough.

Still, why would the McCann's murder their own daughter? Accidentally? Why not then just report it as such. Bizarre.
