I just scraped my mag on a brick wall - luckily not the body work :/ Bleh.

Anyway - anyone used a mag repair place? Price? Time to repair? And if more than a day, wtf you drive on? :/

I've used 2 places......

One in Centurion, took just on a day to repair... the other place in Durbs did it while I wait.

Thanks for the suggestions - timgaul excluded ;)

Googling a little and asking around, I see Mobile Mag Medic is pretty good. I'm n Paulshof, btw ... and these guys seem to do it on site. Here's my scratch :

Everyone tells me pricing should be less than R800.00 - but I'll let you guys know what they say. The timing is also a big thing for me - so 1 day would be awesome.
 
R350.00 ex VAT, including call out ... should be done in a single day.

Just wanted to update this :

I emailed Mag Medic at before 9am and a response received within minutes. I contacted the Sandton mobile unit to book a date/time and they were outside my office at 12:15pm - 3 and half hours after I initially made contact.

They did 2 mags for me (wanted my other brushed up) in a tad over an hour and everything looks fantastic. I watched them and the guys were friendly etc.

Highly recommended if anyone in JHB needs mags repaired!

R350.00 ex VAT per mag ... that's including the call out too
 
any suggestions for DBN? I have a scratch that I would like repaired, and maybe even a re-spray?
 
Glad it worked out well, Dolby. They saved my ass a couple of years back when one of the washbay okes scratched the bejeezus out of a GTI's rim on the morning of delivery. :eek:
