I got a set of mags from a friend who managed to get his bakkie totaled.

Now I have 225/70/15 tires on mine so I have a concern that I may have to buy new tires - I'm in no rush because I need to replace my current ones within the next 6 months or so anyway.

I know jack about tire measurement, so I measured the width of the rim and I'm hoping myBB can help a brother out here :p

From edge to edge it's exactly 210mm (21cm).

I reckon they won't fit, but just confirming here :)

I had 205 tires on a 5.5j rim, fitted very well no problems.

Edit: Made a typo, my tyres were 205's but I'm sure those 225's will fit well if it's a 6.5 or more rim

Yeah what's the J number of the mags?

Yeah what's the J number of the mags?

The J refers to the shape of the rim lip which has been standardized so that different tyre brands will fit the same rim.

Ja I meant the number before the J :) I've only ever seen Js, wasn't aware of the significance. Thanks for the info :)

I'll give my wife a call later to ask about the J number thing

I'm just tired of having to buy hubcaps all the time just have it stolen again
