Mage Gear Guide

Well for starters, if you looking for something that equivalent to Shadowpanther you might as well trawl the official forums.
Shadowpanther is rubbish.

If you're looking for a excellent guide for any class/spec go to ElitistJerks.com

Their website is hands down the best information source (apart from Wowhead's Item DB) that you can find on almost anything.

If u looking for mage pve gear .....
Badges for chest and trinket
spellstrike hood and legs
some arena items are decent as well
Raid for the rest kara gear is pretty good for a mage....

Ofc t6 > but ya as a starter that should set you up
 
Currently I have a nicely gear mage :)

Most of my gear come from heroics/badge rewards/Kara as well as the Wrath of Spellfire set that you make with tailoring :)
 
the tailoring set sucks :P its really nice for kara/gruul but after that u so badly nefred by the lack of stats and other important things ..... The heroic rewards aint that great for imba mages but you have to get badges so do those instances where u get mage loot as well .... like heroic sp for trinket, etc .....

also for a good weapon if u struggling to get kara dagger from prince or sword from gruul then get the exalted thrallmar sword or even easier the dagger from heroic MGT

you can check my mage out if u want but thats no comparison becoz I got t6 on.....
