I signed up last week and am fairly impressed and enjoying it.

Thought to get the thread started to share experiences, tips and tricks.

It's incredibly rigged, draws, matchmaking, everything is designed to exploit and extract money and nothing else, gross experience meant to prey on mentally vulnerable people. These free to play "things" shouldn't be classified as games.

Play MTGO if you like Magic, you can actually trade digital cards and even sell them for money if you move on, or better yet, play Xmage so you don't spend anything at all.

I’ve never spent a cent on it and never experienced anything like what you describe.

I actually still have my MTGO from many years ago, but I found Arena much cheaper at the end of the day to just play games (I hate the 'investment' and trade etc aspects of CCGs - I just want to play). Free boosters, crafting what card you want etc.

However, MTGO is still miles better than Arena when it comes to social, draft etc.
