This may be a bit of topic, but I bought this worldwake intro deck to see how this game is. Problem is, I have no idea how to play the game and no idea where all the players are. So where do people play this game in Durban?

Besides there being tons of online help, you can go onto the www.wizards.com website and look for sanctioned events in your area. That should give you at least a contact for local events.

Searching there for Durban, I came up with this:

Name: EU Prerelease Rise o/t Eldrazi (CORE)
Format: Sealed Limited
Phone Number: 27832806227
Coordinator: [email protected]
Date: 4/17/2010

So give Francois a shout - I'm certain he can help.

Hmm... this may take a few posts...
Well, first, you shuffle the deck, and have your opponent cut your desk, and you his.
Then draw 7 cards, and choose to eather keep your hand or put it back and take 6 cards.
Then, if you go first, play a 'basic land' card.
The 5 lands are: plains, mountain, island forest, and swamp.
You need basic lands to 'tap' (Turn on it's side) for mana.
The 5 basic colours of mana are, in the same order as the lands; White, red, blue, green and black.

Then, if you have enough mana, you can tap it for mana, and play a spell, enchantment, artifact, or creature.
Then it's your opponents turn.
When it's your turn, play another land. (If you have another)
Then repeat the 'usige' phase. (Play cards)
If you have a creature out, DON'T ATTACK YET.
It has summoning sickness. It can't attack this turn. So let your opponent go.
Keep this up 'till you win or loose.

Cya!

I've read the rulebook. There are some things that make no sense on the creature cards. Like upkeep cost and lands that say that become creatures but they remain lands. Where do u play them? By your lands or creatures? Some lands say they enter play already tapped.U gonna tap it 4 mana anyway. What difference does it make?
