Is there a site where i can have a look at what different mags will look like on a car ? Lets say they have a photo of your model, and you can choose and see what the different mags will look like.

My wife has ruined another set of wheel caps on her hyundai i20, so i might as well put mags on

Thanks guys / girls

ok if she ruined wheel caps you think mags would be safer

have you seen the price of rims and then what it costs to have then redone once its messed up

and to help ....i think any 5 spoke or multispoke would look nice

/\ /\ /\ good point, but she wants mags !!!! Happy wife = happy universe (someone on here said this)

lol if you can afford and if you think its right go ahead

a good set would set you back around 6k for a 17inch rim with tyres or a 15inch around 4k

autostyle have good deals

On a Hyundai i20? :wtf:

While you're at it why not lower the suspension, add spoiler and lower suspension and get a cheap matt black paint job. Oh and don't forget the "I'm a douche" tshirt and cap

did you somehow miss the 2 options and since it might be his wife choosing ...do you perhaps know that you are limited to designs with smaller sizes

I used to think like you ; big wheels ... douche etc

But I've got 19" on my C30 (painted white silver like the AMGs) and it actually looks pretty good. I think the trick is to get the correct style/colour for the car so it looks standard

I hope its a T5, then fair enough and I am sure it looks good. On a standard 2.0 it'll just look pathetic...

I don't understand why adding rims/mags is bad. I agree there are people who go over the top but if you can go up in size the width of the tire increases thereby increasing the grip. Not to mention that larger tires usually have higher speed ratings and ability to deal with heat thereby decreasing your chance of a blow out on the long road.

17s on an i20 would look awesome, want some myself but it's a bit expensive and if it rubs/sticks out at the sides (eg. too big for the car) or makes the ride harder I'm going to instantly hate it. Most 17s won't actually increase the tire diameter btw. so it's not going to have too much effect on the speed (205/40/17 is actually smaller diameter than the standard i20 tires).

Remember very low profile tires make the ride harder so it isn't always a good idea.

LOL. Yes, now the tyres on his i20 will allow him to do 280 km/h along with that 400 bhp 1.6 engine.

rofl

OP 15 or 17 on an i20 no issues, for 17 go 205/40/17

oh and teach her how to drive :p

also go to a tyre shop and they will put the rim next to the car on a stand and you can get some idea.

Yup - T5 and not the best photo ... but everyone thinks the wheels come with the car.

I'm not a mag person unless it looks like it should go with the car. In fact, I'f generally try stick to the same brand as the car. My 1st car was a Honda Civic 150i and I bought Vtec mags as they worked well IMO. The next two cars I kept the standard mags as everything else looked added :/
