Maintain SSD drive

Windows 7/8 should give you an optimise option instead of defrag.

Pretty sure "Optimize" means Defragment.

I moved my Mydocuments back onto my SSD since the whole OS gets a slowdown if I access those files if my HDD isn't running.

If you don't want that to happen you should disable the auto power down hard drive setting in the advanced power settings, it could also possibly prolong your hard drives life since it will do less powering on and powering off.

Disable or move page filing to another hard drive.

Ideally you should leave at least 20% of the drive open (the fuller it is the slower it becomes). - not SSD related :wtf:

That's pretty much all I do for mine. I moved my Mydocuments back onto my SSD since the whole OS gets a slowdown if I access those files if my HDD isn't running.
a drive that isn't running? :wtf:

Windows by default powers down hard drives after 20mins if they are not used, the problem with this setting is if you click on the drive it has to spin up which could take up to 10seconds, it also possibly decreases the hard drives life since it will be powering on and off alot more than if you disable the setting all together.
