Hi guys,
Need some help here. As we know Nashua Mobile has closed.
But before that in Sept I phoned them and found out when I could upgrade.(Cell C btw) They told me I could upgrade now. Then I asked them when do my contract actually finish (ie the 24 months) and they said 1 Nov.
At this point they never mentioned anything about them closing.
I then asked them to stop my contract on the 1st of November, so I just have a normal sim & number. Pay as u go or whatever you would call that.
They told me all is good and they will do that.
A bit after that I asked them about porting my number to Vodacom and they said I should contact Autopage closer to November and they will do it. (so yes I found out they closing).
So I went to Vodacom to setup a new contract and everything. Was dealing there with a very helpful guy that has been doing this for a long time. Everything was in place on their side.
But when Vodacom tried porting they kept having problems. They kept phoning Autopage but every day they give you someone else with a different story and problems with no solution.
According to Autopage the contract showed it will be stopped, but then from Nov 1 it shows it is a new contract on month 1... dafuq?
So now I am still paying for a contract I did not ask for and that should have stopped already.
It's been more than a month now struggling with them to get this contract stopped and number ported to Vodacom. They clearly give 0 ****s about it and clients.
I'm at the point of making my own banner regarding this.
So to recap. 24 months of contract is done. All I want is for the Cell C contract, minutes etc to stop and then have my number made available to port.
Previously I've been told by Vodacom the easiest way to port a number is to stop the contract and change it to pay as you go and then you can just have it ported.
Autopage tells me if I do that I have to wait 90 days before I can port...
Can anyone help here in this regard?
