Make Pick n Pay great again

It all went south when Covid arrived. I am not sure why but ever since then the shops have not been the same again and the prices are much higher compared to Checkers and Spar
 
Maybe have more working cashiers.. I abhor going to the Menlyn Shopping Center PicknPay because of the very few cashiers and rather go to the Checkers above it.

PnP Hyper in Atterbury Value Mart is even worse. They have more staff standing around chitchatting in the aisles, obstructing the way of the customers. If one asks for a price of an item, which is often not displayed, they direct you to the scanner instead of doing it for the client.

Furthermore, they have no clue of the products they are supposed to be selling.

I won't even mention the cashiers, they are the unfriendliest lot on earth, more concerned talking to the packers than the client.
 
My local PnP is properly awful these days. The place is filthy. The staff are unhelpful and demotivated. Checkers, WW, even Food Lover's are all far better experiences.

Not sure what they can do to improve things, but good luck. They lost me as a regular shopper a few years ago. Now they have Sixty60 to compete with.
 
Yeah it's not about affection or lack thereof Sean. The stores are shyte and dirty and the staff are generally piss poor.
