Anyone has any ideas that will make torrents with Telkom during the day faster? Current download is sitting at 20KB/s with uTorrent and War thunder was only at 100kb/s on a 2mb line so I just aborted it and deleted the client. Maybe there is a site I can download warthunder with DAP.

Steam is never shaped.

Yes - a cancellation and a move to AH business :p
I won't even consider that because Telkom has implemented a measure to prevent customers from cancelling their accounts which involves an approximately 3 hour waiting period on the hold listening to the second most insufferable music on the planet(the first being One direction music) and thereafter you will have to try and explain what you want to do a lady on the other end who has absolutely no idea how to operate the computer she has been assigned, after spending another 3 hours explaining you want to cancel and not upgrade you still have to wait till the end of the month before your account is officially cancelled.

ROFLMAO ... sorry broooo .... seriously I feel for you. :D

That Telscum always thinking ahead on how to screw you over. But you have to pay for usenet so whats the point?

LOL, even after all that it is worth the effort.
I was with Mweb uncapped Premium and even there they screwed your torrents during the day.
Now with AfriHost everything just rocks :)

Some ISPs have their own server(s) that are still free to access from what I'm aware...

Okay I have heard people on this forum post about things like nzb's and usenet and newsservers and I have no idea what those are, will they help torrents? From what I read on google nzb's are kinda complicated. Oh yeah what I wanted to post is I had one torrent running and the speed was around 10kbps but when I added another one both were running at around 19kbps. So is there anyway to split one torrent into multiple pieces so the overall speed is faster?

And I'm guessing telkom isn't one of them?

Hearing you supervegeta41 wish I could download the program and get to business. Qbt was so great for a while, even Vuze seemed to sneak through telscums p2p wall blocking for a while. I feel like I'm being personally discriminated against. I've got to cancel my contract as soon as I can. feh

NZBs are indeed more complicated than torrents, even more so today when compared to a few years ago. But that is what makes it fun for me. It also enabled me to share the load between friends as things were RAR/zipped into smaller pieces when compared to torrents that comes as one big 4GB+ linux .iso blob.

Running two torrents at the same time will not automagically give you increased speeds. The increase from 10 to 19+19kbps can be attributed to an array of other factors.

Telkom is actually one of those with news servers the last time I checked. The saix (telkom) server is one of the first ones I used back in the day. Was a superb server compared to the IS server back then.

Clearly you are doing it wrong then.

Its a lot less complicated than it used to be...

Nowadays you only need a decent indexer and Sabnzb. Sabnzb does all the heavy lifting on its own and you don't need to manually unrar, par and wtf. Hec you can even be not lazy and setup an automated nzb-pvr.

The only thing that can happen is articles going missing which compared to a torrent if the torrent is there it is there. Of course, my observation, there are more release choices compared to usenet (talking about person / groups doing a release).

All I found was spam and loads of fake files it was horrible.
