Make your own rubber grommets?

Get thin piece of rubber
Cut to size
Glue them over the hole
Cut a slit for wires to pass through
Done

It definitely looks like he's enlarged them, maybe it's glue pushing through which gives them the uneven edges
 
Make mould, inject silicone.

I made silicone feet like this before, mould was made from melted candle wax that had set so you get a nice smooth shiny finish on the end product.

I'm confused, what am I injecting the silicone into?

What tools do I need?
 
That is high density foam.
You can buy sheets of it from any foam manufacturers.
