in the event i cant get a wisp to beam to a farm, what gear would i need to make a point-2-point bridge?

Setup is:

Point -----------Mountain-----------Point
________8km_____________2.5km

The locations are sorted, so i need to know what hardware to get to make this setup possible.

both points will be external access points i would assume, with a bridge on the high site.

Must be poe, and the bridge is not omni, but 2 directional antennas.

i searched the site and some ppl recomend Miro gear.

Not looking at a "poor mans wifi" solution. Need decent gear that will work well. Pref 2.4 gear

cheers

Depending on the throughput you want will depend on the hardware.

yes Routerboards i think are the best for that setup.

maybe Point 1 is RB112 with radio in AP mode
Mountain RB532 or RB112 with two radios in client modes
point 2 RB112 with radio in AP mode.

if the points are in AP mode then you can have client around the office connect to those radios.

or just bridge the whole thing.

routerboards (well the radios for them) can do 2.4 or 5Ghz get a grid 19 db for point 1 + the radio it is connecting to. and 12db yagis from mountain to point 2

or 5Ghz equivalent if you choose to go that route.

there are many other and probably better ways to do it
