Al MMORPG's you get a little tired after a while.... especially if your not smoking the pipe and get nailed every time. But be honest, u take a break for a couple of weeks and then it hits you .... Gone is your social live again for about 3 months....

Medievia never bored me :D Nor does EVE :)

I was sad when I started doing WoW quests and they really were "Collect 19 rat tails" "Collect 19 wolf tails". I dunno. Just not my thing.

Yeah eve ftw :) Been playing for two years and my life has suffered cause of it.

I used to go to lan's weekly, I had friends that didn't know what wcs, POS spamming and hi-sec griefers were.
That all died a while ago.

Hell i even tried to go out last week with a lady that just knew my nick.
At the end of the evening for some strange reason 3 of her friends turned out to be eve addicts also. I just wanna let goooooooooooooo.

You know you can't armitage :D

I'm taking a forced hiatus at the moment or I'll never get anything done. Will be starting up again next month I think. I want there to be planetfall so badly... :D

Anyways... WoW any good?

Strange though that she doesn't mention interesting game models like second life or guildwars.

For innovation those two really took the cake :)

Hi, my name is koosbeer and im a wow addict. The game is worth it to play. The Warcraft lore is awesome and we all know blizzard doesnt make crappy games. The thing about Wow is it requires alot of time, ALOT! What i can say is that the game only starts at lvl 60. Then things begin to get interesting. Then you can venture into areas where as a lvl 59 you wont even get a invite to... The problem with Wow is the farming mentality. Eveything comes by farming... farming reputation, farming money etc. Blizzard has tried to reduce this with the expansion. Another problem is the divide between casual gamers and raiding guilds. For you to experience the full extent of Wow, you need to be in a raiding guild. This is also looked at in the expansion, but if it will change, i do not know...

So yeah, thats my opinion. One thing is for sure, it eats up your life. My wife has joined www.gamerwidow.com . Honestly if i wasnt married, i would never get married after wow and who needs friends ;)

MMORPG's really have a weird influence on ppl's lives. Before i started playing eve i used to spend thousand on upgrading my pc, buying games, going to lans(was pretty good in our little team in cs and q3) and generally being a typical gamer.
After i've started eve I rarely and i mean almost never play any other game. Not because i don't have time but rather that I have a great benchmark to base other games on.
Why should I play 100 stupid titles that are all basically the same as the game I played bout 5 years ago but just with uber new physx or graphics?

There is also this phenomenon of a mmorpg fan that he base's all future games against his first mmorpg no matter if it was utter purile or god's gift to the lonely gamer.

I tried to avoid playing WoW since I had a feeling it would become a permanent part of my life - which it has. I started playing in January after my younger brother convinced me to try it out.

I played Star Wars Galaxies before and was blown away by WoW. Blizzard are masters when it comes to designing and supporting their games. They love it and have a deep seated passion for their products, and it shows.

I chose to focus on PVP, which had its fair share of problems. The imbalance between certain classes 1-1 and the "honor grind" were both pretty serious deterents from PVP'ing in the game. It was however very rewarding to reach the rank of Commander with a dwarf warrior without the help of a guild. As mentioned by Koosbeer this is changing for the expansion with the introduction of the arena system and non-decaying honor.

The key thing with WoW is time. You can decide to casually level your character or to power level to 60. One thing is for certain though, the game only really starts to shine at endgame level.

I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember, and nothing has gripped me as tightly as this game. Join the revolution.

Its basically a MUD on steroids with less imagination, rp and more Nintendo generation style game play if u will. I still prefer muds tho, partially due to its low resource demands(u can play it on a 56k connection with a 586 pc :o ), never endingness and well i hate to say it but some rp makes it good too.

Curse you krycor. Now I want to go out and play medievia again. I barely managed to stop last time I was playing.

This is the drug of a new age!
