How serious do mean take their appearance/image? I'm thinking of opening a "male spa" but not so sure if they know that they can also have a manicure and a massage.

Guys can have that stuff done at a normal spa too :/

Massages are awesome, there's nothing girly about that. The most girly thing I've had done was a facial. Manicures and pedicures are out, any guy who takes care of himself wouldn't need one.

I'd like to think i take my appearance seriously but i don't think i'd be caught dead at a spa

Such places (male only spas) do already exist, so there probably is some demand for them.

You don't know what you're missing out on. Not that I'm complaining, the less people who go means that I can schedule appointments that are more convenient for me :p

The only thing I would go for is a massage (one of those deep hard ones) not these where it's just like a rub thing. I don't see the need for anything else, I cut my own hair, shave my own beard, cut my own nails and that is about as much grooming as I need. Oh, I would probably also like lying in one of those dark enclose salt water floating pods, I would find that very relaxing.

Do you still get barbers using straight razors (cut throats)? I would love to go for a proper shave but the whole hygiene thing scares me. A hair dresser told me a few years ago that the department of health banned straight razor or non-disposable blades in places that offer services to the public.

Theres one at Cedar Square and I think Sandton City.
Anyone know where a guy can go for threading? Got some hair below my eyes, dont want to shave it.:o

Will your spa be offering joyful conclusions?

I thoroughly enjoyed going to a spa as a couple, but can't see myself going solo. Although I probably would go for a decent back and neck massage for an hour or so.

At most barbershops in Fordsburg, haircut is R30 and threading about R20! There are a fair amount of Indian barbershops in the suburbs as well, I know of one in Paulshof and I think there is a Turkish barber in Sandton city

i am shchit scared for waxing and threading cause shaving becomes so irritating

and they say waxing is better

I'm officially in my 30's and I was wondering if it's too late to start moisturizing? Cause I have the face of an angel still, would like to keep it that way. A female friend of mine said it was too late?

haha i have alot of hair on my face if i dont shave and damn pulling out a nose hair hurts i have no idea of a whole face

Pulling them out of your nose will always hurt dude. You need to cut them or use one of those nose trimmer thingies. The threading compared to pulling nose hairs is like sex vs a kick in the balls

i do cut them ...sometimes i tweez them out haha

They replace the blade every time so if you go to a decent place this shouldn't be a problem.

And any other tools get sterilised as well.
