ANC Youth League president Julius Malema has now set his sights on white Afrikaners running universities. He has told Free State University students in Bloemfontein that the UFS is still run by Afrikaners for the "chosen few" and that the university council must be reformed.

Malema did not mention the appointment last week of Professor Jonathan Janssen as the first black vice-chancellor of the university. He says the university is governed by the FF Plus, resulting in racial acts being prevalent. He has called on Education minister Naledi Pandor to intervene in the racial integration system.


During the meeting, Malema ran down most other political parties and their leaders accusing some of being racist.
