Expelled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema's name has been removed from the organisation's website, according to a report on Wednesday.

But African National Congress Youth League spokesperson Magdalene Moonsamy denied any knowledge of this.

The website page that lists the national executive committee of the youth league on www.ancyl.org.za, has blank spaces next to the "president" and "secretary-general".

"We do not know who tampered with the website," Moonsamy told the New Age newspaper.

She referred to an earlier statement in which it was maintained Malema would remain ANCYL president.

Malema was expelled from the ANC last week following an announcement by the party's national disciplinary committee of appeal. He was found guilty of sowing division in the party and of bringing it into disrepute.

This was after he unfavourably compared the leadership style of President Jacob Zuma to that of former president Thabo Mbeki, and for remarks on bringing about regime change in Botswana.

ANCYL secretary general Sindiso Magaqa was suspended for a year. Magaqa was punished for making derogatory remarks about Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba, for which he has since apologised.

Tampering (which is a regular occurrence on the ANCYL website) or genuine?

It's been like that for a week - and the graphic of Malema in the banner at the top has been removed as well.

Lol they can't manage a simple website , but they claim to know how to manage a national used resource. I can see the headlines should it come to pass: "we were not aware about air pumps for the miners" oops

if someone hacked the site, im sure they would have done more than simply remove a name or 2.

It must be either:

1.) A counter-revolutionary
2.) a bloody agent
3.) Apartheid agent
4.) 'Boer'
5.) Imperialist ;)

that did it,

These people are laughable...
