Malibongwe Drive shoot out

If by "raised the bar" you mean jack a car in Alberton and then immediately proceed to rob a house in Sundowner, then yes, yes they have.

No, I meant hijacking Subarus now. They've been doing what you said for years.

Wasn't there another White Subaru Impreza reported stolen recently?
I'm sure I saw it on FB.

Books?! There are books in that car... I'ma going to go ahead and assume they belong to the original owner...
Also, all I have going on in my head right now is a line from that awful Arnie and the Terminators song... "You always get respect with Uzzi 9mm."

Sadly, I know.

It was just a dig a non-Subarus :) I always thought they weren't really hijack material. I suppose it's a no-brainer though - they'd probably make excellent crime and get-away cars.

In 2009 I was high-jacked in my driveway. The same night or early hours of the following morning my car was apparently used in an attempted hi-jacking in a suburb literally down the road from me :wtf:

These guys used that Scoobie in an attempted hijack two days after stealing it as well... Sorry to hear about your hijacking 'tho. My old place is one road up from that intersection... I still have a bullet that got lodged in my wardrobe after an armed housebreaking there a couple of years back. Hate how so, so many South Africans have ridiculous war stories like yours and just seem to have to keep on keeping on.

True that!! Heck, I dont think I have any friends, family or even acquaintances that have not been touched by crime in some way or the other.

I know dude... it's crazy. EVERYONE seems to have war stories and it's become so "normal" :wtf:
Sickening actually.

5 INJURED IN RANDBURG SHOOTING, ACCIDENT

Five people were injured in an accident and shooting in Randburg, Johannesburg, on Thursday, paramedics said.

"Reports from the scene indicate that a light delivery vehicle collided with a motor vehicle and another light delivery vehicle at the intersection of President Fouche Road and Malibongwe Drive in Randburg," Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said.

"After which a shooting incident followed."

Four men were injured in the shooting. The car's driver was injured in the accident. They were treated on the scene and taken to hospital.

Earlier, Steinmann said two men were critically wounded at 12.45pm and taken to a nearby hospital. Paramedics were assessing more people for injuries at the time.

The cause of the shooting was still unclear.

Police spokeswoman Captain Augustinah Selepe (SUBS: CORR) could not immediately give details of the incident.

I still say the paramedics need to look after all the innocent injured people first and if you have nothing else to do and dont want to go back to the hospital, then only then can you look and help for the guilty if they STILL need help for their injuries.

You must think twice before you commit a crime.

Also my neck of the woods, use that intersection almost daily, so do my Mom and SO. Have witnessed 5 or 6 big accidents there in the last few years.

Use that intersection daily, and have lots of robot skippers on that intersection! Glad these mofoes got caught!

Listening to the news now i got so pissed off...

The cops are taking credit for what the security company did ...
