Malvern Queensburgh Fibre

I am in Malvern and the fibre has already been laid about a month ago but it was Vumatel that did this. I saw that Openserve is working in the area around the Pick n Pay centre laying cable on my run the other morning.

Any estimate time frame? My LTE connection has been horrible I would sign up immediately for fibre

Vodacom Fibre said they will be going live at the end of July 2020. Speak to this guy Vaughan 072 014 7797 who is from Vodacom Store at Pavilion. He sent me the info.

Thanks for the info, a few ISPs say escombe has fibre coverage but with Vumatel even Vodacom fibre says Vumatel maybe both are covering?

I am in Malvern close to Food Lovers Market and we have Vox and Vodacom available but the fibre is owned by Vumatel.

Are you able to apply to any other ISP or is it just those two cause other ISPs say we have no coverage even tho Vuma and other ISPs say otherwise

I already signed up with Afrihost because their coverage map indicated this area was in roll out phase and I would be ahead of the queue for install when it goes live. . However I checked this week and their map indicated no coverage (they must be updating or something) because I'm opposite the Malvern Police station and they completed the fibre roll out here.

It looks like Vuma fiber network will be doing part of Escombe for the moment OpenServ will be Marvern Central, Vox is running on the Vuma Fiber network it looks like it where I am at. I am waiting for Vuma planing to send a tech/planing person to do the FTTH. the wait is killing me is been two weeks now. Vodacom Fiber I am not sure whats happening regarding Queensbugh.

Open Serve looks slow regarding updating their map.

Just my luck that I fall almost in the middle of the pink areas :/

Is that the Openserve coverage site?
the parts that not pink yet should be updated by the end of the week early next week .I am also waiting for it to go pink so I can pre order lol

Yes, Openserve is currently laying the cables around Ridley Park and the Main Road in front of the Pick n Pay.

As of yesterday (29/07) I have noticed that Openserve is now laying fibre on Main Rd around Poets Corner railway station going up towards the Food Lovers Market.

This is area that has already been covered by Vumatel installation a few weeks ago........so it looks like Vumatel and Openserve will be competing in some areas in Queensburgh.
