After the killing, the toddler was taken to a doctor and it was discovered that she had not been raped

This maybe does not tell the whole story but what a harsh way to depart. Anyway seems to me tolerance for Government vetted crime has dried up, completely. More Innocent victims may die due to the Bundus court but I am all for it at the sake a few lives in striving for reduction of crime.

Yes, it's sad that 'vigilante justice' claims innocent victims (although, note, the official justice system does too), but unfortunately this is a necessary side effect when the actual justice system is failing completely. One way or another, we NEED a justice system; the 'real' one doesn't work, so that leaves us with either vigilante justice (and all its faults) or NONE AT ALL.

So... the next time, if it's you that's being dragged out of bed for a five minute trial, conviction and execution by a mob, will you remember your statement above and quietly acquiesce? Because, after all, in the pursuit of reducing crime, what difference does it make if it's your innocent life or someone else's?

Vigilante justice isn't the answer, and neither is a justice system that doesn't exist. Let's not lose sight of this.

Let's have your name and address so we can test your support for vigilantes.

Not surprised really.... I see it everyday the community get fed up with the justice system and take thing into their own hands.

Doesn't make it right ,but at least it spares the tax payer the money for putting him up in jail and paying for the court case.

As has happened repeatedly in the past the vigilantes have murdered an individual not guilty of the crime of which he was accused. Now we need a second group of vigilantes to go after the first group. In fact we're going to give them what they did not give the man they murdered, a chance to receive a proper trial. After which I hope they are jailed for life without any chance of release.

How many of these murderers (aka vigilantes) vote for the ANC every time?
