Manual System Restore

Cant get into safemode or cant access operating system using ERD commander? Use a manual system restore to restore your computer to an earlier point.
Note: This will only work with Windows XP and Vista

Boot up with your Windows XP cd, go into the Recovery Console and select the operating system you want to restore..

Step by Step..:

cd C:\windows\system32\config
md C:\windows\regbackup

copy default c:\windows\regbackup
copy sam c:\windows\regbackup
copy security c:\windows\regbackup
copy software c:\windows\regbackup
copy system c:\windows\regbackup

del sam
del security
del default
del system
del software

cd "C:\System Volume Information"
cd _restore{XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX}
cd RP(The number with the date you want to use.)
cd Snapshot

copy _registry_user_.default c:\windows\system32\config\default
copy _registry_machine_security c:\windows\system32\config\security
copy _registry_machine_sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam
copy _registry_machine_software c:\windows\system32\config\software
copy _registry_machine_system c:\windows\system32\config\system
Now your computer is restored....
