Many Bittrex accounts disabled?

Just got mine approved in about 2 minutes.

Selfie
Picture of passport (or drivers licence)

Don't need any papers with bittrex written on it.

Tips for successful verification:
Take a fresh selfie, ensure nothing is blocking a full view of your face
Do not use the same image from your identification documents
Do not use a professional profile picture
Do not manipulate the image of your identification in anyway. This includes adding watermarks or blacking out certain information
Do not crop the image of your ID such that any portion of the ID is removed including edges

Does not compute. All they need to do is redirect to a verification page - not ban your account. Sounds like CIA / FBI involvement to me. Iran, Pakistan, etc. etc.

Whatever it is, they need to communicate. Rumours like that floating around without a response is very bad for confidence. First the closing of the accounts is a problem, then the lack of response is a second problem which has most likely resulted in a run on the exchange. If enough people withdraw their money all at once is can cause other problems for the exchange. My biggest worry has always been exchange risk. I have too many coins to run local wallets for everything. They are unregulated and who knows what they do with coins on deposit.... do they reuse customers coins, as an example, do they offer or take speculative derivative positions? Even if stuff like this is a rumour, it can be enough to bring an exchange down depending on whats happening in the background and how they manage their affairs.
