MAP DataBase ??

Hi i have just recently started playing guildwars NF. although i am stuck with a small problem i only have a 1 gig adsl line.... and befor i bought the game i thought u wouldnt have to load[maps] each time u went to a new city ?? i mean some times the files are like 5 megs WTF if not more So i was wondering is there not a pack that has all the maps that i can just download soi can go to othe cities and just have it read off my pc and not wait for the dl ?? ??
because it will help me alot!!!

You can get the gw.dat file from another player (on a DvD) that has an up to date image of the game. That will help a bit, until the next game updates at least.

Why don't you just do an -image and get the downloads over and done with? Time the download close to the month or something.
This shouldn't be that much and you will only have to deal with game updates from then.

in your gw folder ...

run : gw -image
That will download "ALL" the updates

Zip teh gw.dat file and put it on dvd and give it to him
he unzips and puts the dat file in his gw games folder
