map pack for MW2 or Steam account theft?

Last night I got a message from some one on my steam friends list, that read some thing along the lines of : hey go to www.funnysteamaddy.com to get the new maps. So ,..
 
Got some messages warning me about that site..Apparently they try to steal your Steam account + all the games obviously..

Change your pass and QUICK!
 
It was messages sent by your "friends" without them even knowing it. Lot of accounts stolen last night on steam because of these stupid german ****ers. If you went and entered your username and pass go and change your password as quickly as you can and verify your email adress.

They change the email and password and the delete your email as registered to steam.
 
no no boys I saw the message and thought yea right then saw the .com.du or something like that and just closed the message :D

Wow what an arrogant post. So people who have no idea how the net works deserve to be exploited?
 
Maybe could have been worded better, but there are numerous news articles around how scamming occurs, there is a certain responsibility that an internet user has to take with using it, being informed and having some awareness of the bad guys out there.

Most scam work on people's greed, be it for money or the "free stuff" per the OP
 
never trust dodgy links on steam :D
I see alot of steam accounts have already been taken
 
I posted on this in the MW2 sticky a few days back guys...

At the moment the map pack is only available for XBOX360 afaik... I am sure the map pack will be available to download from within the DLC menu while in game if they decide to release one for PC.
