Should one use a bridged or PPPoLC type connection? The manual that Telkom provided talks about both but only shows how to set up the latter.

Should I be worried if i get the following?

C:\Downloads>tracert www.ananzi.co.za

Tracing route to www.ananzi.co.za [196.34.149.67]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 * * * Request timed out.
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 * * * Request timed out.
5 * * * Request timed out.
6 * * * Request timed out.
7 * * * Request timed out.
8 * * * Request timed out.
9 * * * Request timed out.
10 * * * Request timed out.
11 38 ms 39 ms 37 ms 196.34.149.67

Trace complete.

Is there a way to fix this?
I have TelkomInternet, 4GB unshaped option if this has any relevance

It depends on how you want to run your setup. When the router is running in bridged mode you need to establish the PPPoE connection on your computer. This is fine if you're a single user but if you have a network and multiple computers connecting it is probably best to let the router handle the connection (i.e. bridge mode disabled and using PPPoE LLC).

I wouldn't worry about the trace route as long as you are not experiencing any adverse effects in your internet activities i.e. unusually slow browsing or downloads.
