Hi

I need some help with setting up a Marconi switch.

Firstly I cannot fiddle with Pvc0 because it is used by my work to establish a connection. I have tried to configure Pvc1 with my axxess details but Pvc1 refuses to connect if Pvc0 isn't removed.

Please help !

PVC 0 settings

Virtual Circuit: Enabled
Bridge: Enabled
IGMP: Disabled
Encapsulation: 1483 Bridged IP LLC

ATM settings
VPI: 8
VCI: 35

PVC1 settings

Virtual Circuit: Enabled
Bridge: Disabled
IGMP: Disabled
Encapsulation: PPPoE LLC

ATM settings
VPI: 8
VCI: 35

The problem being if I disabled Virtual Circuit on PVC 0 the PVC1 connects but with virtual circuit disabled on PVC 0 I can't connect to my work stuff

PVC is an ATM Term.
Its used to define which "layer" of the ATM Network you want to use.

You cant have 2 PVC's with the same VCI and VPI values.

Changed the settings as follows still doesn't work.

The other option would be to setup axxess via the telkom connection software. Thus not using the router software.
If some one could explain to me how to do this I tried just entering my username and password but it didn't work.

Well that definately wont work, because the ADSL network is 8/35.

Okay

So can some explain to me how I setup an Axxess account via windows.

Thanks

ermbig problemo

firstly if bridged is not checked you can dialup as much as you want it gonna go nowhere. Secondly install the telkom software and set it up like a normal dialup, worx for me....
