Feel like a real geek, cause I'm all excited about my new ADSL.

I've managed to setup my ADSL at home with a domain via FreeDNS. now I can access my router's web interface from work.

Please understand... I'm all new to this web, isp, ip etc stuff but learning fast.

All I need to do now is to forward web requests to another PC on my network so that I can host a website.

If anyone as newbie as me need any help to do the same, PM me and I'll try and help.

:)

You need to setup port-forwarding on port 80 to point to the internal IP of your web server.

If you do a Google search for "port forwarding" should shed some light on the situation

If you need more info, let us know which router you have, someone might be able to point you to the correct page on the interface

Yup,

thx :)

I've done some googling on this.

For now I will be forwarding to my main XP machine with IIS on.

Busy learning Linux to eventually host my website.

The part I haven't figured out yet, is how to do it on Telkom's Marconi router.

I fear that this might not be possible/very difficult.

:)
