Marconi router - How do I get it to bridge mode?

Hi

I have 2 questions:

1. OK, My friend has a "Marconi premium combo wireless ADSL router". He is with an ISP called Netlive, and he has bought a second account from Openweb (the 40GB local only account).

I phoned the guy from Netlive to ask, he said he didnt know what I was talking about. Openweb said that it is router specific, and that they cannot help. And I wont phone telkom, because sitting on the phone for 40mins and then getting told they dont know is not good enough, so please help.

Here is my question:

How do I put the marconi router into bridging mode? (I looked on the routers setup page, and I get no luck).
I need the netlive settings in the router so his office can still connect how they connect now, and the openweb account on his personal computer using the windows Broadband connection.

Do I just delete the current account on the router, and use the CD to put in the details of his Netlive account (use Bridge there, instead of the straight forward ADSL), and then put the openweb account on his PC, will this work?



2. we had a MASSIVE lightning storm on Saturday night, and now the router is saying that a cable is unplugged. The wireless is not working, and the internet is not working at all. His emails are working though. The problem is that I tried to get the setup working on Saturday afternoon, but the last thing I did before I left was show him a website (Piratebay), and then I left, so it was working before I left, but I think now suspicion is that I killed it...(as it always is).. I think the storm killed the router, but do you think this is what happened, or can you think of anything else (all cables are plugged in).

Update on 2nd Question:
I put other a 2nd account in the router, and now its not even there, it only has 1, so there must be something wrong with the router right?

1 Question, once I have changed the device Pvc0 to bridging mode, will the 1st account that is on the router still be there?

Once you have changed to Pvc0 and saved that as your connection to use you then need to set up a "dial up". This is where you enter your username and password.

click Start->Connect to->Show all connections.
Top right of screen click create new connection.
Choose Connect to internet
Set up manually
Connect using broadband bla bla bla
and then follow the onscreen instructions to finish.

Then each time you want to connect you connect with the "dial up" connection you have just made.

In bridged mode you have to make the connection to the account, you can't have 2 connection established by the router. You can however on some routers have a router established PPPoE connection and a bridged connection via a software dialer.
