Marconi Wireless ADSL Telkom modem

I have 2 questions -

1. I have a Marconi Wireless Telkom ADSL Modem. I can download / receive files, but can't upload / send any files. (via uttorents, mirc, msn, aim, etc)

The setup of the modem is automatic, and it assigns an IP automatically. Is it port forwarding that I need to do? And how would I go about doing it - for as it auto assigns an IP.

2. What's a good program to convert avi to dvd?

Go to this site http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm and look for your router. It should be either under "telkom" or "marconi", click on the application that you need to forward ports. It gives you a step by step guide. Also, change both your admin and user password to something you might be familiar with in the router gateway(the place where you change the settings). If you use the default admin password, things like ftp won't work. I'm not sure why you can't dcc anything, that sounds strange.

Search the general hardware and software section for the avi to dvd app. There were a few threads about it recently.

find it easy for me, because I'm an idoit when i come to this stuff
