Market for data encryption?

Hi,

Just wondering if you guys (being in the industry and knowing company needs) think there is a market for data encryption to protect sensitive information such as a client databases and financial information?

I undestand the banks need such a process, as well as those with a very mobile work force - but what about smaller companies?

Generally small companies don't have information sensitive enough and/or the budget to warrant encryption solutions. The only useful place I see for it in a small organisation is on laptops as they tend to grow feet.
